Patient Care Assistant/Farm Staff
Karly Brandimarte has been an avid horse lover since she began owning her own horse at just 16 years old. She grew up living on Long Island, but spent summers in the Durham area where she started to have a strong interest for horses. Karly is a senior at SUNY Cobleskill where she will receive a Bachelors of Technology degree in Animal Science. During her time at SUNY Cobleskill, Karly has been a very active member of the Western Equestrian Team competing in the International Horse Show Association for the college. She joined the team as a freshmen and by her senior year she was competing in class 14 of the western pleasure discipline. Her riding ability has qualified her for Regionals multiple times as well as Semi-finals. Karly also competes in AQHA shows during the summer months where she continues her passion for western pleasure riding. She has two horses of her own, a dun quarter horse named Bacon and a paint named Ziggy.
Karly has a very playful one year old German Shepard pup who occasionally is at the clinic following her around. Karly’s love for horses as well as her interest in veterinary work is what led her to Oakencroft Veterinary Clinic in 2015. Karly can be found helping out on the farm, in the office, and riding with Dr. Colarusso as her assistant.
