Sandy grew up on a dairy farm in East Durham, NY. Grandpa gave her a Welsh pony, aptly named Pal, when she was six years old and she has had at least one equine companion most of the time since then. After graduating college, Sandy spent many years as a dairy farmer, biochemistry technician, and office administrator.
Sandy joined the OakenCroft staff in 2006 as the accounts payable administrator and Saturday morning office coverage, giving her something to do during retirement. For the last several years she has had the joy of watching her ‘retired’ equines lounge in the back yard providing many photo-ops for passersby. Outside of OakenCroft, Sandy enjoys spending time with her family (16 grandchildren!!) and participating in her church activities and doing crafts.
